Welcome email #5
Hey!
The topic of this email is “video home inventory.”
House fires really do happen. I could show you some statistics, but just google the words “house fire” and click the “news” button. You will see that more homes burn down than we realize.
One of the hardest parts of having a house fire is trying to remember which of your personal property was destroyed. It is not a good experience unless you have a home inventory. If you don’t have a home inventory, you might not get reimbursed for all the property that you have.
Here is a video about the importance of a home inventory: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LYt_lIx120c
I am a big fan of the “video home inventory.” All you do is walk around your home and take a video of all your rooms and closets. If you have something that is more detailed or expensive, you can explain the details in the video. If you have a fire and if your insurance company needs the video, they can always pause or slow the video so that they can identify each of the items.
The video home inventory much easier than taking hundreds of pictures.
Let me know if you have any questions or if you need some tips about how to do this.
